A CARTOGRAPHIC HISTORY OF THE CHANNEL ISLANDS
Our next project is A Cartographic History of the Channel Islands.
We are working closely with the Priaulx Library in Guernsey who have a magnificnt collection of Channel Island maps and with the Jersey Archives whose Clarke Collection is unrivalled for early island maps.
Our plan is to tell the story of our islands entirely in maps from the very earliest to the very latest, creating a unique look at our history. By producing a single large format volume we will be able to reproduce most of the maps full size and in full colour, complete with their original accompanying texts.
The book will be quarter bound in leather and feature a specially designed cover specially made end papers using a map design which will be marbled over.
More details will follow very shortly, however if you cannot wait then email: firstname.lastname@example.org
